What causes kidney stone? Learn some prevention

Causes of kidney stone:

1. Heredity:
If someone in your family has kidney stone then you also have the risk of having it. And if you have the problem of kidney stone, there is chance of increase in them.

2. Lack of water:
Drinking less water also causes kidney stone. People who live in hot area and sweat a lot have more risk of it.

3. Wrong eating habit:
Kidney stone is also caused by eating protein and sugar more than required.

4. Excess salt:
Eating too much salt or salty food increases calcium level in kidney which creates problem in kidney’s work and stone is formed.

5. Digestive problems or surgery:
Digestive system is affected by inflammatory bowel disease and gastric bypass surgery. In this case water and calcium do not get absorbed and can cause kidney stone.

6. Obesity:
Risk of kidney stone increases because of obesity and excess belly fat.

Prevention:

Drinking water:
Drink minimum of 7-8 glasses of water everyday. If your urine is yellow you need to drink more
water.

Calcium diet:
Incorporate milk and milk products in diet. This prevents kidney stone but consult doctor before taking supplements.

Less salt:
Eat less salty foods like pickle, ships etc as they are very high in salt.

Take magnesium:
Incorporate green vegetables, beans and sesame seeds in your diet as they are high in magnesium which helps to balance calcium in body.

Less sugar:
Too much sugar in body prevents calcium and magnesium from being absorbed. It causes kidney stone, so prevent eating sweets, soda and other sweet foods.

Exercise:
Exercise or walk for at least 30 minutes everyday. This helps to control weight and blood pressure which decrease the risk of kidney stone.
